Toy Hoop for Kids

The Shootin’ Hoops Pro Basketball Set from Step2 is a classical plastic toy hoop, great for kids approximately 2-7 years old. It will provide a lot of fun for the entire family and it’s also a perfect tool for teaching the little ones how to shoot.

A small basketball (6″) is included in the package as well – it’s very soft and light so there’s no danger of hurting the kids when they get hit in the head. On the other hand, it is a bit flimsy so for older kids users recommend getting rather a classical junior basketball.

Easy to Assemble and Fairly Sturdy

The assembly is tool-less and very simple, the pole offers three height settings (4, 5 and 6 feet) and adjusting it up and down is really easy as well. Just be careful with the plastic tabs responsible for keeping the desired height, as they may break off.

Nevertheless, the other parts like pole or net are sturdy enough, the rim is break-away, quite tough at first but easier over time.

Lightweight and Stable

Good news is that the base is quite stable even when not filled so you can use it indoors as well. And for outdoor use, just fill it with sand or water and it won’t fall over even when the kids try to dunk. Just be careful in stronger wind.

And even when filled, it is still light enough to be moved around easily, plus there are 2 built-in holders for drinks (or the ball when not in use).
